Love Generation

Bob Sinclair
http://bob-sinclair.lyrics-songs.com/lyrics/295392/

(Bam, bam, baba bam, bam)
(baba bam, bam, baba bam, bam ...)

to the world,
this is just love,
this is just love,
Yeah!

Why must our children play in the streets,
broken hearts and faded dreams,
give some love to everyone that you meet,
don't you worry, it could be so sweet,
just look to the rainbow, you will see,
sun will shine 'till the eternity,
I've got so much love in my heart,
no one can tear it apart,
Yeah.

Feel the love generation,
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Feel the love generation,
C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon yeah

(whistling)

Feel the love generation,
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Feel the love generation,
Ooohhh yeah-yeah,

Why must our children play in the streets,
broken hearts and faded dreams,
give some love to everyone that you meet,
don't you worry, it could be so sweet,
just look to the rainbow, you will see,
sun will shine 'till the eternity,
I've got so much love in my heart,
no one can tear it apart,
Yeah.

Feel the love generation,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Feel the love generation,
C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon yeah,

(whistling.....)

Deepak Chopra - June 23, 2005

Some of you may know that I have always been fascinated by the phenomenon of meaningful coincidence and synchronicity. This morning, I was thinking of someone that I hadn’t heard from in 10 years and wondering what had happened to them or where they were. And even as I was having that thought my phone rang and that very person was calling me.

I am sure you have had that a similar experience many times. The phenomenon is well known and goes under the name of meaningful coincidence, synchronicity. Through the years I have met a lot of people who have achieved extraordinary things in their lives and all of them say they were lucky; God was on their side, being at the right place at the right time. I think they are saying the same thing. In the Vedic literature we have an expression “Ritam Bhara Pragya”, it literally means that if your mind is synchronized with the synchronistic mind of the universe you tap into the local correlation of the universe and your intentions become very powerful leading to the spontaneous fulfillment of desire. The following are the nine characteristics that I have find in all synchronistic experiences.

1. Synchronicity is as conspiracy of improbabilities.
2. The experience is a result of karmic relationships coming together.
3. Synchronicity is orchestrated in a domain of consciousness beyond space and time where there is non local correlation.
4. It moves us into more expanded state of consciousness where you see events and relationships contextually and as interdependently co-arising.
5. Synchronicity is the result of an intention that you have had consciously and or unconsciously.
6. The experience begins to transform your life and leads to the phenomena of “good luck”.
7. There is great emotional fulfillment from the experience.
8. The meaning and purpose of your life starts to become clear.
9. You no longer see the outer world as separate from your inner world from thoughts, feelings, emotions, fantasies and dreams.

I have found the following attitudes helpful in accelerating this experience:

1. See the world as an extension of yourself.
2. Keep in mind that nurturing relationships is the most important activity in life.
3. Keep your intention lively in your consciousness but detach from the outcome.
4. Remain independent from the good or bad opinion of others.
5. Stay emotionally healthy, free from resentments and grievances.
6. Harmonize the masculine and the feminine in your own being.
7. Keep a diary of all coincidences and ask yourself what are the karmic significances and what do they mean

It has been said that coincides are anonymous gifts from God. I would love to know what you think and would also love to hear your experiences with this amazing phenomena.

Love,
Deepak

LEELA (Part 2): Can a Life Be a Dance?
Deepak Chopra - September 13, 2005

Indians love the concept of seeing creation as a dance between Shiva and Shakti.

It appeals to our sensuous side, and there is a certain maturity to accepting that the cosmos may not be linear or mechanical after all. But beyond the pretty imagery, I don't think many people apply the Leela to their own lives. In what way is the dance of gods and goddesses relevant to you and me?

The practical side of Leela is that besides being a pretty image, it tells us that design is imbedded in chaos. When you are centered in your own dance, this becomes self-evident, because there is no such thing as living randomly. From our center radiates desire, action, process--patterns are formed from the cellular level of the body and the subtle mental levels.

Leela tells us that the basic pattern of life is desire. Knowing that, we can accept our desire nature and not try to repress or judge against it.

Leela is also about the qualities inherent in dance: grace, balance, control. This tells us that life itself has those qualities; therefore, we can aspire to them as individuals.

Leela is centered, because it takes focus to dance. From the intent "I want to dance," the whole body must be organized and set in motion. This tells us that intent and centeredness are linked.

So far, we haven't touched on morality. Leela transcends moral codes, and for many people that's a big problem. They cling to the dualistic world because it rigidly dictates right and wrong (this clinging continues despite the many complaints people utter about being straitjacketed in codes of right and wrong).

But the most basic thing about Leela, as about dance itself, is that play is about delight and freedom. Leela is about the delight and freedom of creation, which somehow we have turned into moral strictures, boundaries, and every kind of restriction. When spirituality really clicks in, the first feeling one gets is of immense relief. It's such a burden to approach life as a huge responsibility, to constantly worry about moral codes and social judgments.

Once this initial relief wears off, however, a perplexing phase follows in which play seems impossible to achieve. We are so full of conditioned responses that our days are pulled back into work, family, money, status, possessions, etc.--the whole machinery of duality rolls forward unstoppably. You can't throw all of this away and simply start to dance. Not entirely. But you can give over a bit of your life every day to what you know to be the true foundation of life:

--Ease, lack of struggle
--Appreciation
--Grace
--Freedom, particularly the free flow of desire
--Joyousness, innate bliss
--Trust in Nature's organizing power
--Knowledge that you are the dancer and the dance
--Understanding that your life has a purpose (Dharma) that fits into the overall movement of the cosmos.

I don't think I'm extrapolating or have gotten lost in metaphor. Leela reminds us that when Sat Chit Ananda became manifest, they revealed their nature in a dance.

Men Are From Mars

by Tomi Fratto

Men are such unusual creatures
That’s because they are from Mars.
Somehow they found the planet earth
On a beer run through the stars.

Ignoring their galaxy maps
They cruised boldly out in space.
Got lost but never told their crew,
Admission would be disgrace.

Suddenly seized by gravity
Their ship gyrated through the air.
At last the nose crashed into dirt,
“Wherever this is,We’re there.”

Nearby there was a colony
A group who came from Venus.
Sent to study this habitat,
Selected for their genius.

The martian men saw the campfires
And strolled into their retreat.
“Hello there ladies, that smells good
Is dinner ready to eat?

A pattern was soon established,
Each night the men stopped by to feast.
They dropped off their dirty laundry
To be washed in the cold creeks.

“Why are we Venus pioneers,
Who are certainly quite smart,
Acting as though we are servants
To those who laugh when they fart?”

The wisest lady among them
Said “Girls, patience is a gift.
Those martians will come in handy
When big rocks we have to lift.”

That was many eons ago
Back to Mars the men did not roam.
We ladies need them here anyway
When we move to a new home.
